Nicole Jones Architect Practice

How We Operate

First, last and always the client’s needs are paramount.

Obtaining a detailed understanding of what the client is seeking to achieve is of the first importance.
We also understand that the relationship between client and architect needs to be an enduring one. Our first meeting with a client is always free of charge. This is to provide the opportunity to ensure that the empathy necessary for a successful project will exist.

From information gathered at that first meeting.

we will prepare visualisations of what we understand the client to want. These will over time be worked-up into concept and working drawings, accompanied by a detailed specification of requirements, and construction methods.

With these documents we will obtain all necessary planning consents and building or other regulation approvals.

At every stage the client is fully involved. Their full participation in the process is considered crucial to success.

Fees

We charge at a highly competitive hourly rate and are happy to provide a detailed estimate of fees when we have an understanding of the extent of the project.

Visualisation

Experience has shown that the key to achieving a successful project starts with assisting clients to visualise their aspirations.

We use the latest architectural software to provide our clients with visualisations that can be quickly and easily changed as the client may want.

These will over time be worked-up into concept and working drawings, accompanied by a detailed specification of requirements, and construction methods.

Design

Good design is a matter of form and function.

A good design will meet all the functional requirements and will have a look and a style that suits the location and meets the clients taste and budget.

At every stage the client’s full participation in the process is considered crucial to success.

Client Support

We pride ourselves on the quality of support we provide our clients. Support falls into 3 sections:

  1. Planning – which includes all those issues up to and including obtaining planning consent and building regulations approval.
  2. Project initiation – That is preparing tender documents and assisting with the selection of contractors.
  3. Project management – overseeing the build project through to completion.

The level of support provided is entirely at the client’s decision.
